M&P Project

Our new 140mm extension for the Smith & Wesson M&P autoloader is made of rock-solid black-anodized aluminum. These are a sharp-looking, nearly indestructible unit seen recently in the pages of Shotgun News. Shooters should expect to get a minimum of +4 in .40 S&W, and +5 in 9mm using the factory spring. (Add photo from catalog.)

CX4 Storm Carbine

A handful of people have approached us recently about producing a floorplate for the CX4 carbine in .45ACP. The 9mm and .40 Storm carbines can accept longer pistol mags, but the .45 is restricted to an almost-laughable eight rounds. We've developed a 140mm extension that turns these 8-shooters into 10-shooters, using the factory spring! Yes, it's "only" 10 rounds, but that's a great deal better than eight!

"Security Tab" Seattle Slugs Available Direct From Taylor Freelance

In order to accommodate the latest-generation Glocks with the "security tabs" in the grip void, Taylor Freelance recently brought out a CNC'ed version with special relief cuts. For now the "tab" slugs are too expensive to market through our distributors (sorry guys, we're working on it) but shooters can order them direct from us for the time being. (Glock 17/22 brass only.)

Our thanks to the officers from High Point, North Carolina P.D. who encouraged us to make this version for them. We expect to have an investment-cast production model in house by the end of November.

DEALING WITH THE TABS: While we don't suggest this, gunsmiths regularly report grinding the tabs off with a dremel tool with no apparent ill effects.  For more information on fitting issues with Glocks, see "fun with frames."

2nd Edition Now Available!

The Glock in Competition 2nd edition is now available! This new version of The Glock in Competition contains many new pieces of information useful to Glock shooters of all types.

Bobby Carver has submitted his chapter on GSSF, and Mark Passamaneck has given us an AWESOME chapter on why Glocks have such trouble with lead bullets.

CZ Experiment

Frankly, we don't know a whole lot about CZ's, but we do know a thing or two about floorplates. Our new CZ floorplate slips onto the base of the 16-round "Standard" magazine, supplying two or three additional rounds of .40 ammunition (depending on whether you leave the locking sub-floorplate in, or take it out). For best reliability, we suggest loading +2, leaving the plate in, and using our Glock 140mm springs that we have custom-wound by W. C. Wolff. Click here for details.

TF +4 Pads NOW +5!
TF +8/10 Pads NOW +8/11!

At Matt Kartozian's suggestion, Taylor Freelance extended our 9mm/.40 +4 and +8 floorplates for the drop-free magazine by ~60 thousandths. Our latest pads make full use of the quirky way USPSA measures magazines, transforming our old reliable +4 into a true +5 extension while staying under the 140mm limit. Our +8/10 design has grown into a +8/11 in the same way. That's +8 rounds of .40S&W, or +11 rounds of 9mm! We've added some new relief cuts as well, just to accommodate the more popular magazine wells.

Whether or not you compete, our floorplates teamed with our new custom-length +10% W.C. Wolff Co. springs, make our extension kits the highest-quality, least-expensive kits on the market. Ask any of our customers. (Including Pat Kelley, Debbie Ross, Gene Simmons, Duane Thomas, Paul Scarlata, Julie Goloski. . .) When you compare our CNC machined construction, bank vault-like retention system, and chemically impervious materials, you can't go wrong with Taylor Freelance.

SALE! $10 off Floorplates for Non-Drop-Free Mags

Over the years, a steady trickle of shooters have asked us for extensions for the Non-Drop-Free (NFML) pre-ban Glock magazines. Unfortunately, they're just a trickle, and we over-estimated the demand! We're dumping them at a big discount, so take advantage of us, and help us free up some storage space!

Non-drop-free mags are significantly shorter and wider than the new drop-free pattern, giving more internal volume to work with. (We really like them for competition use.) If you've got an old mag laying around, have we got a deal for you! (Discount is automatically applied in the shopping cart software.)
